My tastes changed when I got a bit older, and now I snack on coffee and Cheddar cheese and keep the books for reading only.
My 2013 young adult science fiction, LINKED, began life as TELEPATHIC TWINS IN SPACE, my 2009 NaNoWriMo project. It’s been revised and edited six hundred million times since then (okay, not literally), and sold to Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers in summer 2011. It’ll be out in spring 2013.
In LINKED, Elissa discovers her nightmarish visions and inexplicable bruises are caused by a telepathic link to a twin she didn’t know existed. When she helps the girl evade government capture, a Bourne Identity style chase ensues—across Elissa’s planet and into space.
As well as working on the sequel to LINKED, I work from home as an editorial assistant and occasional editor at Samhain Publishing. I drink a lot of coffee, I read a lot of books, and I hang out with my partner, two teenage daughters, and three cats (two of them black, one a demon in a fluffy tortoiseshell disguise).
I live near Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire, England. Online, you can find me at www.imogenhowson.com and www.twitter.com/imogenhowson. I’m represented by Mandy Hubbard at the D4EO Literary Agency.
Favorite superstition: I have to say “bless you” when anyone sneezes—and “bless me” if I sneeze. Otherwise, of course, the Devil could jump into your open mouth, and no one wants that.
