Kasie West writes YA paranormal (and dabbles in contemporary). She is represented by Michelle Wolfson of Wolfson Literary Agency. She graduated from Fresno State University with a BA degree that has nothing to do with writing. She earned her masters in Junior Mint eating (which is awarded after eating your millionth King Size box....and is now working on her PhD). She loves sappy alternative rock ballads and reading way past her bedtime.

Debut: PIVOT POINT (HarperTeen Winter 2013)

Reminiscent of the movie Sliding Doors, Pivot Point is about a girl who has the power to search alternate futures. When faced with a life changing decision, she lives out six weeks of two different lives (in alternating chapters), both holding the potential for love and loss, and must ultimately choose which path she is willing to live through.

Favorite Superstition: I’m not very superstitious but am very dramatic so I like to pretend to be very distraught after walking under a ladder or seeing a black cat, etc. It is probably very annoying for others, but amuses me to no end.
