The last thing the suits worry about is making sure you look fashionable. It’s all about the necessities. And blending in. Oh yeah, and not getting killed.
Meg doesn’t have high hopes of nice clothes but the atrociously boring wardrobe that awaits her when she settles into her new identity in Louisiana is worse than she could imagine. There are only a handful of items hanging in the tiny closet:
2 pairs of jeans, generic
4 T-shirts, assorted solid colors
1 dark brown hoodie
Yeah, that’s it.
But Meg’s got a plan. If nothing goes wrong, her family will be out of the Witness Protection Program and she’ll be swimming in that overstuffed closet back home. And of course, nothing ever goes wrong. Right?
Ashley Elston's young adult debut, THE RULES FOR DISAPPEARING, will be published by Disney Hyperion in May 2013. She lives in Shreveport, Louisiana with her husband, three sons and four - yes, four - cats. If her husband brings home anymore stray cats, he may in fact be entering the Witness Protection Program himself.
