March good news round up for the Lucky 13s!

Some people may think that the number 13 is unlucky, but not those of us at The Lucky 13s. In fact, we're celebrating the 13th day of each month by featuring all the fabulous stuff that's been happening to The Lucky 13s...

Here is our latest round up of good news:

Justina Ireland's Promise of Shadows came out on the 11th of March!

Melissa Landers ALIENATED sold audio rights.

Steph Kuehn sold her third YA book, DELICATE MONSTERS, to Sara Goodman at St. Martin's.

Lydia Kang's Control and Lamar Giles' Fake ID are both nominated for YALSA's Quick Picks for reluctant readers.

Amanda Sun's RAIN, book 2 of The Paper Gods, had its cover reveal. It's out June 24!

Amy McCulloch's THE OATHBREAKER'S SHADOW was nominated for the Canadian Library Association YA Book Award 2013, and blurbed by Jonathan Stroud! “Exotic lands, cool magic and high adventure – The Oathbreaker’s Shadow has it all. Set in a stunningly realized world where broken promises literally come to life, it’s the most compelling new fantasy I’ve read in years.” – Jonathan Stroud, author of The Bartimaeus Sequence

And finally, CJ Flood's INFINITE SKY (due in the U.S. in May) got its first starred review from Booklist: "At first, it's prosaic like a sunny summer day, but as the pages flit by, it becomes as profound and tragically brutal as nature itself."

C. J. Flood is the author of the Carnegie Medal long-listed INFINITE SKY. She blogs and tweets while trying to resist the temptations of Facebook, so say hello!

  1. Thanks for all this info! I didn't know Lydia's book(s) had been nominated--awesome! That's great you 13ers can promote and support each other. :)
